This rare and interesting chilli pepper, I successfully propagated from seed, might be related to the ornamental ‘Flourescent Purple’ (Capsicum annuum). The flowers are a bright violet and the leaves are dark green with blotches of black. The fruit is about ¼ to ½" in length and a very deep purple color nearly black. There is some minor damage from baby grasshoppers from earlier this growing season.
